Blinken confirms death of U.S. resident in Ukraine
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken affirmed on Thursday the demise of a U.S. resident in Ukraine, in spite of the fact that he didn't have more subtleties to share. A State Department representative said the demise happened on March 17. Blinken made the declaration during a press preparation on Thursday.

"We give our sincerest sympathies to the family on their misfortune," the State Department representative said. "Out of regard to the family during this troublesome time, we have no further remark."
Prior to Thursday, a Ukrainian authority said that an American had been killed in the country.
